Ultraviolette Unveils Upgraded Motorcycle: Enhanced Features, Extended Range, and Affordable Pricing After 18 Months

Ultraviolette has introduced the updated ‘Mach 2’ variant of its electric sports bike, approximately 18 months after the initial launch of the F77. The Bengaluru-based startup’s inaugural product, the F77, debuted in 2022. Now, the EV company is unveiling the F77 Mach 2, which enhances the F77 platform with new features.

  1. The F77 Mach 2 boasts improved range and an array of additional features.
  2. It is now considerably more budget-friendly compared to its predecessor, the older F77.
  3. Ultraviolette intends to establish 18-20 dealerships nationwide in India.

The F77 Mach 2 comes equipped with an extensive array of electronic features bundled within the ‘Performance Pack,’ aimed at enhancing safety levels beyond its predecessor. One notable upgrade is the revamped braking system, which includes an optimized ABS system. This system introduces a front-only ABS mode, effectively deactivating the rear ABS while maintaining the functionality of the front ABS. This strategic adjustment is designed to optimize braking performance and improve overall safety during rides.

Furthermore, the F77 Mach 2 incorporates traction control with three selectable levels: rain, city, and track, each offering varying degrees of intervention. Level 3 provides the highest level of intervention, ensuring maximum stability and control in adverse weather conditions, while level 1 offers minimal interference for a more dynamic riding experience.

In addition to traction control, Ultraviolette has introduced hill-hold assist, a feature that prevents the motorcycle from rolling backward when starting on an incline, enhancing convenience and safety, especially in urban environments. The inclusion of a Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), available as an optional feature on both variants, enables riders to monitor tire pressure in real-time, promoting optimal performance and safety.

Moreover, riders now have the flexibility to set a charge limit, allowing them to customize the charging process according to their preferences and requirements. The ‘find my F77’ feature enhances security and convenience by enabling users to locate their motorcycle using a mobile app.

To enhance the user experience, the F77 Mach 2 introduces new themes for the display, offering customization options to suit individual preferences. Additionally, onboard navigation is seamlessly integrated into the display, providing riders with intuitive and convenient navigation assistance directly on the motorcycle’s dashboard.

The performance pack is included in the introductory price for the initial 1,000 customers. After this promotional period, it will be available as an optional add-on at an additional cost. It’s important to note that while the majority of these features come as standard on the F77 Mach 2 Recon model, they are optional upgrades for the standard F77 Mach 2 variant.

The F77 Mach 2 and F77 Mach 2 Recon feature increased IDC ranges of 211km and 323km, respectively, without any changes to performance. The introductory price for the F77 Mach 2 is set at Rs. 2.99 lakh, while the F77 Mach 2 Recon is priced at Rs. 3.99 lakh. Bookings for both models will commence today in 15 cities. Ultraviolette is also set to expand its dealership network with the addition of 18 to 20 new locations nationwide.
